Connect. Pray. Affect! (CPA), exists to connect people seeking prayer to people who know how to pray. The name is a map of our mission: Connect people, Pray to God, Affect lives. Not only does this website provide access to prayer, it also keeps track of prayer requests so we can see the results, and build the faith of the church. How our Prayer Lists Work
Prayer RequestsWhen somebody requests prayer it is immediately routed to churches and inviduals in the surrounding area who are members of CPA. The requestor has the option to submit updates to their prayer request, and those updates are also routed the churches and individuals so they can see the results of their prayers and know how to continue to prayer for that individual. The requestor also has the option to receive e-mail notification when they are prayed for. Prayer requests can also be marked as urgent. If the request is marked as urgent it is listed at the top of the prayer list and will also be submitted to the CPA Twitter account.Individual Prayer PartnersIndividuals sign up to receive prayer requests through CPA. They will then receive requests anonymously by email based on the location of the requestor. If a location is not given, requests are disributed in a round robin fashion. When a CPA member receives a prayer request they have the option to notify the requestor when they have been prayed for.Prayer ListsSubscribers to CPA are given a snippet of code that they can copy and paste on their website so they can display the requests they receive in real time. They can also put a form on their website so prayer requests can be submitted to CPA from their website. Those prayer requests submitted from a church website are automatically routed to the referring website's prayer list and will show up no matter the requestors location. This is idea for churches but a prayer list can be put on any website. |
